      Dealer Notes

Oxford White 2020 Ford F-250SD XLT 4WD 10-Speed Automatic Power Stroke 6.7L V8 DI 32V OHV Turbodiesel *BACKUP CAMERA*, *APPLE CARPLAY/ANDROID AUTO*, *BLUETOOTH*, *4X4*, *FORD SYNC*, *KEYLESS ENTRY*, *TRAILER TOW PACKAGE*, *ALUMINUM ALLOY WHEELS*, *POWER STROKE DIESEL*, *CLEAN, 1 OWNER CARFAX*, The Ford Super Duty F-250, redesigned in 2017, is a heavy-duty pickup that shares the basic styling of its little brother the F-150 in some of its aluminum body panels. The F-250 is bigger and more boxy, and has more steel in its fully-boxed frame, which was made dramatically more rigid in the redesign. It can tow or carry an astonishing amount of weight. It can also carry up to six people swathed in leather and showered with rich wood. The F-250 cabin isn?t as understated as that in some GM trucks, nor cowboyish like some Ram models. Its cabin chooses substance over style, while striking a balance of comfort and flair. It can be luxurious with wood and leather in the top trims, but it?s still about utility, with scratch-resistant plastic and rugged cloth in lower trims. Even on the Platinum model, you can opt for vinyl trim, in case you want all the convenient technology and active safety, but not the bother of cleaning carpets. Makes sense for trucks that see a lot of mud, snow or wet. The cloth upholstery on the XLT is comfortable and high quality. The Super Duty has just about the best and most versatile cargo bed in the business, measuring either 6-feet-9 or 8 feet. It?s the F-150 that has the short 5-foot-6 bed, for that lighter-duty need. The four-door Crew Cab has enough room in the rear seat for 6-footers, even three of them. The seat folds to create a large amount of cargo space. With the 6.2-liter V-8 making 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet, mated to the 6-speed automatic transmission, the F-250 can carry 7,680 pounds of cargo in the bed. Ford says the chassis was made 24 times more rigid when it was redesigned in 2017, which makes for smooth and quiet ride, especially with the suspension being tuned to take advantage of the stiff chassis. As for the handling, the adaptive variable-ratio steering makes truck significantly more maneuverable at low speeds and less jittery at high speeds, by quickening the steering at low speeds and slowing it at high speeds. It enables parking in tighter spaces, and makes highway driving more relaxing. BOTTOM LINE: No matter what you want to use this truck for, The Ford F-250 is an ultimate tow rig that can pull up to 32,000 pounds?and do it all with massaging seats and to

      • Been a great truck

This has been an excellent truck. I have worked it fairly hard, hauling and towing. With 210,000 miles, it still doesn't have a single rattle (I hate rattles). Except when towing, I get about 18 mpg (6.7 diesel). Going to get another one.

This truck goes through pastures, through creek beds, undulating terrain, hauls, and pulls without any problem. So it can work. Great truck!
      • Expensive but inline with the competition.

The Ford Super Duty trucks are gorgeous, well made,feature-laden and very powerful. Ford often sets the bar for innovation and power but GM and Dodge leap frog quickly. All of the “big three” trucks are expensive and powerful but their styling really boils down to personal taste. However, Ford is the only manufacturer supplying its own diesel engines & transmissions for their products. I think that says A LOT about the company. I’ll admit that my Platinum spec F250 has some cheap interior materials shared with the base models, which contrast with the other premium materials with my package, but it’s not bad enough to really whine about. When it comes to the reliability and performance I’ve personally experienced, I can’t say enough good things about my truck. Hauling, towing, exhaust braking, maneuverability, power and economy, tech features, etc., I have zero complaints. There are a few features I have found annoying or pointless, such as Lane keeping alert and auto high-beams, but I had the ability to deactivate them. If there were one feature I’d wish to have though, it would be the step bumper GMC offers, in conjunction with the “Man-Step” in the tailgate my truck has. To have both available would be ideal, yet I’m sure each company has patents on their designs so I’m not expecting that anytime soon.
